I had to wait a long time for this sequel to The End of Days. For some reason, I can't get enough of Maquis Leader's Angelus. He's not here for mindless violence and plotless sex. His witty musings, no-holds barred dialogue, and accurate discernments make me want to invite the Scourge of Europe into my home (and bed -- but that's a whole 'nother story) just so I can "listen" to him. I don't think I could ever tire of Angelus, not when he's written like this.
