Why does fanfiction exist?
ANSWER: To tell the stories that TV, books, films, etc. leave out.
"Deus Otiosis" is Annakovsky's first fic piece and was inspired by what we didn't get to see in BtVS "Empty Places". It's a POV piece in which Willow considers how much things have changed for Xander, for Buffy, and most of all, for herself in the past seven years. It's a missing scene that would have provided a welcome perspective for the viewing audience.
